Junior Naturalist Programs
Junior Naturalist Programs are designed for families with children in K-6th grade. These are free of cost ($5 parking for non-members), and are generally offered at 2pm on Saturdays and last 1-1.5 hours. Children need to be accompanied by an adult at all times. Most Saturday programs are open to walk-ins and do not require registration (exceptions are programs involving crafts or materials). Programs typically start indoors and then go outside – be prepared for all types of weather and dress appropriately. See Calendar for current offerings.
Many thanks to Conoco Phillips for sponsoring our Junior Naturalist Programs since 2010.
Notice of Trail Hazards for all our program participants:
1. Trails have wildlife, including moose and bears;
2. There are tripping hazards such as tree roots, uneven terrain;
3. We have stinging insects in the summer;
4. Weather can change at any
time so be prepared for rain, snow, and muddy, wet or icey trails.
