Tour Operators Request
Tour operators requesting use of the facility and/or area The Eagle River Nature Center offers interesting and informative programs interpreting the animals, plants, and ecosystems of the Eagle River Valley. The area is exciting because of its pristine character, its history, and geology, and because of the wild animal viewing opportunities so close to Anchorage. Our professional naturalist-led tours help visitors understand, appreciate and enjoy this area any time of year. Behind the scenes, our non-profit organization has added new trails for hiking, snowshoeing and skiing and maintained facilities for the enjoyment of residents and visitors alike. Our volunteer workforce have helped carry out our vision for a wild natural area preserved for all. With year round, well-maintained roads, this is a place for you to bring your guests to see the real Alaska. Under a 25-year contract
with Alaska State Parks, the State Permit authorizes us to offer your Travel/Tour Company a Commercial
Use Permit for use of the Eagle River Nature Center and surrounding trails.
The permit we offer will allow you to bring groups of visitors to our site for tours,
hikes, or for such things as evening beaver watching, a recently popular activity for
visitors. In the winter season we offer snowshoe walks. You can provide your
own guide, contract another guide service, or use our services on a pre-scheduled
contractual basis. |
