Special Summer Programs

Visiting Alaska for the first time? 
Uncomfortable hiking on your own in the backcountry? 
This is the perfect hike for you, plus it’s free! Each summer, June through August, the Nature Center offers daily guided nature walks (Monday –Friday) by our naturalist docents. 
Just register at the front desk 10 minutes prior to the hike. 
A minimum of 3 participants will be required for the walk.

Groups comprised of 6 or more people MUST make a separate appointment with our naturalist by calling 907-694-9255 or emailing naturalist@ernc.org   This includes scout and summer camp groups.  

 

 

Nature Walks on the Rodak Trail

When?  June 2, 2008 through August 29, 2008

Monday through Friday,1:00pm-2:30pm

Duration:  1.5 hours

Length:  1 mile on unpaved trail (sturdy walking shoes recommended)

Bring:  camera, binoculars, water bottle, and be ready to learn and explore.
