Saturday, April 26, 2pm MOOSE AND BEAR SAFETY FOR KIDS - Yes, it's on, but please take precautions driving on Eagle River Road today. Junior Naturalist Program (grades K-6) Encountering moose or bear is a reality for Alaskan children. Our naturalist will provide information and tips for families with children. A short walk will follow the program. Free program, $5 parking for non-members.
Sunday, April 27, 2pm THE ICEMAN, TREE FUNGI & OTHER STRANGE PHENOMENA - CANCELLED DUE TO SNOW Lori Trummer, forest plant pathologist with the U.S. Forest Service returns to lead this popular spring program. Lori will lead a walk in the woods to identify fungi growing on the trees in the area and to discuss why, where and how fungi grow. She will also talk about how the discovery of the "Iceman" mummy has helped scientists unravel the story of ancient fungal use, as well as other natural phenomena. Free program and parking today.
